Bronze strap-end from the Brough of Birsay

This strap-end seems well-made and very decorative. It was probably worn with clothing that was well-made and colourful.

This strap-end is made of copper-alloy with each terminal shaped like an animal head. The area between the two has an interlace panel. The whole object is very worn, as though it was used for a long time.
