Mount from the Brough of Birsay

Replica of an animal-headed mount from the Brough of Birsay. The mount is in the shape of an animal mask, perhaps a cat’s head, with rounded ears and large eye. It was probably part of penannular brooch. The original is in the collection of the National Museum of Scotland.
